Alastair James Roberts
Alastair established Alastair James Insurance Brokers Limited after nearly twenty years’ experience in the insurance industry, in both the Commercial and Private Clients sector. Alastair’s experience has seen him underwrite and place insurance risks ranging from unique Grade I listed buildings to high value property and motor portfolios for a number of high profile sports and entertainment individuals.
Alastair is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner which signifies his commitment to:
- The highest levels of technical and professional knowledge and competence through professional qualifications.
- Keeping knowledge and skills up to date through Continuing Professional Development.
- Ethical conduct through adhering to an industry Code of Ethics enforced through disciplinary sanctions.
Belynda Rand
Belynda joined the company in 2022 and brought with her over 20 years experience in Farms & Estates, Equine, Property Owners and High Net Worth insurance, predominantly with NFU. Belynda’s deep knowledge in these areas allows her to confidently speak with both existing clients and new prospects to fully understand their requirements and highlight any potential gaps in cover and emerging risks to be aware of.
Calvin Owen
Calvin joined the business in 2025 and brought with him a wealth of experience from the High Net Worth property insurance industry, having held the position of Managing Director at High Net Worth insurance underwriting agency, Oak Underwriting, before leaving to become a founding member and Managing Director of Horizon Underwriting.
Alison Blackwell
Alison leads her team of dedicated reception staff to ensure all telephone calls into the office are answered promptly in a friendly, professional manner, so if one of our broking team isn’t available immediately to speak with, you can be assured your call is answered and a message taken for you to receive a call back as soon as possible.
